The northwest's own Broc Ross and a few of Ross Racing's crew members made the trip south to "Sin City" for the second annual Score Terrible's Cup, to compete against some of the industries finest. Earlier this year Broc Ross and Ross Racing made the choice to sell their current race truck to have the money to fund their most recent race truck, a more state of the art race vehicle to more better his chances of beating the top racers in the sport. Early to late June Broc was contacted by Baja Motorsports. The Baja Motorsports crew requested Broc to try his luck at the Terrible's Cup in their Class 7 open Ford Ranger. Broc made the short flight to Las Vegas where he was met by the crew with a well prepped race truck. After spending less then 20 minutes in the truck in practice and tuning it for optimal performance; Broc raced the first couple semi-practice heat races on Friday taking a close 2nd place to Larry Roeseler. Everyone on the Ross Racing team felt like it was a repeat of the Nissan Cup in Chula Vista late last year, but this was different they had that feeling, the feeling they could win. In the race heats that counted on Saturday Broc got the early lead and held it as Veteran Driver and current 2nd place follower to Broc; Larry Roeseler would spin out and give Broc the chance to gain a huge lead on everyone. In the first heat Broc was some 8+ seconds ahead of the next racer in line being Larry Roeseler. In the second heat it was more of a close race where Larry Roeseler would catch Broc in the corners but in the straights Broc would gain the lead needed to take the win for the overall.
Ross Racing would like to thank everyone at Baja Motorsports, this was the start of a exciting new step in Ross Racing's career and also the start of a great friendship with the guys at Baja Motorsports.
